Using Inventory Aging Report
1. When you first enter into the Inventory Aging Report Option, a Select An Option window appears and displays the following choices: EXIT, UNLOTTED INVENTORY, LOTTED INVENTORY
- EXIT – Select EXIT to return to the Inventory menu.
- UNLOTTED INVENTORY – Select UNLOTTED INVENTORY to display the aging of the unlotted inventory items.
- LOTTED INVENTORY – Select LOTTED INVENTORY to display the aging of the lotted inventory items.
2. At the Item field, enter the for the items to be included on the report. For more information see Entering a Mask.
3. A Select A Grouping window will appear; select which item classes to include on the report. Select EXIT to select all. Enter the item subclass to include. Enter "///" to enter all.
4. If a lotted inventory item was selected, a Select An Option window will appear and display the following choices: EXIT, ALL, and a listing of all locations defined in the system.
- EXIT – Select EXIT and the following message will display: “No locations selected - no releases will print!!! Press space bar to continue."
- ALL – Select ALL to display the aging for all items selected for all locations.
- If you select one of the listed lotted locations, the system will assign an asterisk (*) next to the specified location. This indicates that the system will generate an aging report based on the particular location. Repeat the same process if you want to include other locations on the Inventory Aging Report.
Once you have completed making your selection(s), highlight EXIT and press Enter to confirm your selection(s).
If you have selected a lotted item command options will appear:
- Age by Months – Select Age by Months to run the report to age the inventory by months.
- Age by Days – Select Age by Days to age the inventory by days.
5. At the Aging Columns enter either the aging column days or months to use to age the selected items.
6. Specify whether to generate the report to display weight (L=pounds) or value, (D=dollars).
7. The following message will appear: "Continue with Inquiry? No/Yes."
- Select no to exit and return to the first Select An Option window.
- Select yes to continue.
8. The following data will display on the report:
- Item Name – The item name
- Lot – The lot number
- Vendor – The vendor ID for the lot, if applicable
- Date – The date the lot was opened
- Days – The number of days the lot has been open
- Weight – The quantity in the lot
- Cost – The per unit cost of the item.
Command options will appear:
- Print(X) – Select Print(X) to print the report. Command options will appear allowing you to print or choose from a set of other print options.
- Next Page – Select Next Page to view the next page of the report, if there is more than one page to the report.
- Prior Page – Select Prior Page (will display if you selected "Next Page") to view the previous page.
- Exit – Select Exit the Inventory Aging Report option.
